The World Wrestling (WWE) Champion, Kofi Kingston, arrived in Accra on Thursday for a four-day visit to the country.
The wrestler visited the Presidency on Thursday and he is expected to visit the Osu Castle, former seat of government and participate in the Black Stars Farewell Dinner on Friday night.
The Daily Guide Sports reports on Friday that it recently got in touch with Kingston’s mother, Dr. Elizabeth Sarkodie Mensah, in France, who was very proud of her son.
Kingston was born in Kumasi and migrated to the United States of America (USA) at an early age and has risen to become a WWE champion a few weeks ago.
Ghanaian wrestling fans have expressed satisfaction with the move to visit his country, explaining that it was a step in the right direction.
“When you achieve great laurels in another country, which is not your home country, it is only good that you let your family and people have a feel of what happened,” Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Halm, a keen follower of Kingston on WWE said.
