The Ghanaian press on Thursday zoomed in on the launch of a 7-point business agenda by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Daily Graphic reports that the government of Ghana, has part of its initiatives to make the country a business hub in Africa, putting in place measures to make the country business-friendly.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said at the launch in Accra that his administration has introduced a Business Regulatory Reform Programme with seven components aimed at improving transparent and efficiently regulated business environment on the continent.
He made the announcement at the opening of the 8th Ghana Economic Forum in Accra Wednesday.
President Akufo-Addo said the seven points would be acts, legislations, a voice for all in public consultations, interactive web portal for public consultation and e-registry and consultation portals among others.
He said, I am committed to fiscal rectitude becoming an essential feature of our DNA in the management of our public finances and national economy”
The Ghanaian Times, for its part focuses on the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has collected GH¢3.5 billion ($636.64 million) following introduction of tax collection programmes.
