Umaro Sissoco Embalo, the President of Guinea-Bissau, arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday, December 17, for an official visit.
Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed by his Kazakh counterpart, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the Ak Orda Presidential Palace.
According to communications from the Guinea-Bissau presidency, the two heads of state held fruitful talks on several strategic areas, including education, agriculture, hydrocarbons, and technology. The talks focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation between Guinea-Bissau and Kazakhstan to further strengthen bilateral ties.
During his visit, President Embalo also toured several key industries in Kazakhstan. Notable highlights included a visit to Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering, a leading company in military equipment, and the National Space Center, recognised for its pioneering role in satellite manufacturing.
