The agreement signed between Domingos Simões Pereira, President of the PAIGC and his counterpart of the APU-PDGB, Nuno Gomes Nabian, aims to implement the PAIGC political project presented to the people of Guinea-Bissau. This agreement is thus proof of patriotism in order to save Guinea Bissau’s image.
In a brief statement, Domingos Simões Pereira assured that with this agreement, the Liberators already have an absolute majority to rule.
The provisional results of last Sunday’s legislative election, which called for more than 761,000 Guinea-Bissau voters to vote, will be published this Wednesday by the National Electoral Commission.
Twenty-one (21) political parties, running for 102 seats in the House of Representatives, participated in this election contest.
