National Consultations will be held throughout the country from 22 March 2022, APA learnt on Friday.
National reconciliation and transitional justice could be the main issues that will be addressed during these meetings.
They will be followed by a “national dialogue,” which will bring together all the nation’s active forces at the initiative of the junta that overthrew President Alpha Conde on September 5, 2021.
Two months later, the full list of the transitional government of 25 ministers, including seven women, was unveiled. On January 22, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, the head of the Guinean junta, appointed the 81 members of the National Transitional Council (CNT), the transitional legislative body that will decide the return of civilian rule to the country.
