APA- Conakry (Guinea) – He was the first head of government under Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya.
Mohamed Beavogui has been appointed Special Envoy of the UN and IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) to support the replenishment of IFAD13.
The former head of government of Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya will have the onerous task of raising two (2) billion dollars from UN member states.
The aim is to enable IFAD to implement a $10 billion programme that could lift 110 million families out of poverty over the next three years.
Beavogui was appointed Prime Minister of the Transition in Guinea in October 2021, following the 2021 coup against the civilian regime of Alpha Condé. He left office on August 20, 2022 after several clashes with the ruling junta.
