A hotel chain with a presence in 12 African countries has stamped its footprints at the heart of the Ugandan capital Kampala, APA can report on Wednesday.
In a statement to APA , the ONOMO Hotels Group said it is expediting its development across East Africa by opening its first hotel in Uganda.
Its presence in Kampala is “in line with the group’s strategy of opening hotels in the heart of iconic African cities”.
ONOMO Hotel Kampala is located on Nakasero Hill, a hotspot and preferred meeting place for entrepreneurs, businesspeople and shopping enthusiasts.
“We are excited to welcome guests to ONOMO Hotel Kampala as an ideal destination for friends, families, couples and business travelers from all corners of the world looking to experience the vibrant and warm Ugandan hospitality, it’s rich culture and local artists, where every day is a celebration” said Quintin de Wet, General Manager of ONOMO Hotel Kampala.
The hotel officially opened on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, houses 34 suites, “designed with the quintessential Ugandan feel of colour and style”.
The other wing features 114 standard comfortable rooms in the hotel which also offers two conference and meeting rooms.
Onomo hotels are in 12 other African countries namely Senegal, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Mali, Togo, South Africa, Guinea Conakry, Rwanda, Morocco, Cameroon, Tanzania, Mozambique.
