Global mobility and urban services platform inDrive announced on Wednesday it was expanding its ride-hailing services across Zimbabwe to now cover the four main cities of Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru and Mutare.
The ride-hailing service has previously been available in Harare only.
The company also announced the launch of a courier service in Harare that would enable users to send packages safely and efficiently.
inDrive country representative Kudzai Jeke expressed excitement about the expanded footprint.
“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Zimbabwe. With our presence in Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru and Mutare, we’re making strides towards offering fair and more accessible mobility solutions to the Zimbabwean community,” Jeke said.
He noted that the launch of the new services reflected inDrive’s commitment to addressing Zimbabwe’s needs and empowering residents with greater convenience and opportunities for growth.
inDrive’s innovative “name your price” model allows users to negotiate fares directly, promoting fairness in pricing while ensuring quality service.
This unique approach has gained considerable traction in Zimbabwe, contributing to inDrive’s recognition as the most downloaded app globally for two consecutive years.
