The International Forum for Infrastructure development brings together experts, investors, policy makers and private sector representatives from around the world.
Chadian Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina opened the work of the International Forum for Infrastructure Development in Chad (FIDIT) on February 18, 2025.
Organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Disenclavement, the FIDIT is a first in Chad. It is being held in Ndjamena from February 18 to 20, 2025 and brings together experts, investors, policymakers and private sector representatives from around the world to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to infrastructure development in Chad.
The forum aims to identify the challenges and opportunities related to infrastructure development in Chad; promote public-private partnerships and innovative financing models; explore technologies and innovations for modern infrastructure; and strengthen regional coordination and international cooperation.
Opening the proceedings, the head of government Allah-Maye Halina reassured foreign investors of the authorities’ willingness and commitment to promote the business climate in Chad.
“I reiterate our country’s readiness to welcome massive and sustainable investors in the infrastructure sector. All favourable conditions are in place to facilitate foreign direct investment,” he said.
