APA – Kigali (Rwanda) – Rwanda national team captain, Djihad Bizimana until recently playing for Belgian football club of KMSK Deinze has completed a season-long transfer to Israeli second division club Hapoel Ramat Gan Givatayim F.C, Sports sources confirmed Wednesday.
This followed a successful medical at the Israeli club, who have an option to buy the striker after the probation period.
After four years in Belgium, Bizimana is still considered as an integral part of the Rwandan midfield and his club football matters can have an impact on his performance in the national team.
The 2026 World Cup qualifiers for Africa starts in November 2023 and Rwanda coach Carlos Alos Ferrer has stated that one of his top targets is to qualify Amavubi to the World Cup.
Bizimana, 26, joined Deinze from Waasland Beveren on July 1, 2021. He made 18 appearances for the side in his first season before being demoted to the U21 by manager Marc Grosjean.
