Many Italian companies believe that the ecological transition can favour investments for innovations.
In Italy, the ecological transition is finding a favourable echo among companies. “76 percent of Italian companies are convinced that our country should favour the ecological transition, a choice that would place us in the advanced group of world economies,” according to a study presented Wednesday, on the second day of Ecomondo, an event dedicated to the circular economy organised at the Rimini Fair from 8 to 11 November 2022.
The presentation was made during the international plenary session of the Ecomondo 2022 Green Economy General Assembly. According to the researchers, one of the main obstacles for Italian companies facing the challenge of the green transition is bureaucracy (indicated by 50 percent of the sample).
The data on the expectations of entrepreneurs on the effects of sustainable transition measures are interesting because 51 percent believe that they will contribute to improving the positioning of the company and 60 percent maintain that they will favour investments for innovations.
“One of the main challenges for the near future is global warming and the use of fossil fuels,” reacted the Italian Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, reiterating the government’s commitment to promoting environmental policies at national and international level, with investments in research and innovation for the supply of raw materials.
