The Ivorian Minister of Oil, Energy and Renewable Energy, Abdourahmane Cisse, was on Monday, appointed Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, according to a decree read by the Chief of Staff of the Head of State, Fidele Sarassoro.
The President of the Republic, on Monday March 29, 2021, signed a decree appointing Mr. Abdourahmane Cisse as Minister ans Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic,” Mr. Fidele Sarassoro told reportes.
He replaces Mr. Patrick Achi, previously Senior Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, who was appointed Prime Minister on Friday, following the death of Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko on March 10, 2021.
An engineer by training, Abdourahmane Cisse is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique de France and the French Petroleum Institute. A former trader at the business bank Goldman Sachs International, he was appointed in November 2013 Minister to the Prime Minister Office in charge of the Budget. At 32, he became the youngest minister in the Ivorian government.
