The acqusition was made possible by a loan of 11.280 billion CFA francs granted by the NSIA Bank to the Ivorian government over a period of ten years.
The State of Cote d’Ivoire has acquired the building used as headquarters, adjacent to the main branch of the bank, for an amount of 11.45 billion CFA francs. The main branch, located on Rue des Banques, in Plateau, the business center of Abidjan, remains the property of the bank.
The sale of the headquarters building called the “Residence Tower” was approved by the bank’s Management Committee “as the construction of our new headquarters (located in Cocody Mermoz, in the east of
Abidjan) is almost complete,” said Leonce Yace, NSIA Bank General Manager said.
According to Mr. Leonce Yace, the sale of the headquarters “seems to be the best option” in terms of managing the group’s real estate portfolio. He assured that “this does not mask any difficulties” and that the NSIA Tower will be sold during the 2023 fiscal year.
NSIA Bank, the banking arm of the NSIA Group (present in 12 countries), has concluded the sale of its headquarters since the end of December 2022. The institution is working to move into its new headquarters in Cocody Mermoz by “the end of the first half of 2023.”
