Electricity supply has been disrupted in Abidjan and in the interior of the country.
The supply of electricity has been disrupted for several days in some communes of Abidjan and in the interior of Cote d’Ivoire following incidents on the high-voltage interconnected network, the Ivorian Electricity Company (CIE) said in a statement sent to APA on Wednesday.
“In the current hot weather conditions, these disruptions are linked to malfunctions observed on some interconnection lines with border countries,” the company explained.
The CIE, which said it has mobilized its teams to restore the situation “as soon as possible,” announced that it will also send from today (Wednesday), a “first delegation” in the sub-region to optimize the settings to avoid disruptions to customers.
The CIE is responsible for the operation of production, transport and distribution, marketing, import and export of electrical energy.
