APA – Kigali (Rwanda)– Rwandan President Paul Kagame will attend the Transform Africa Summit 2023 at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, an authoritative source confirmed Monday.
Reports said that the Rwandan leader will grace the three-day summit slated for April 26 to 28, as the Chairman of Smart Africa, the organisers of the summit.
Five heads of state have confirmed to the Transform Africa Summit, according to the statement obtained by APA in Kigali.
These include President Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Eswatini, and President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia.
Angola, Estonia, and Tunisia have officially delegated representatives from their leaders to attend, while Siniša Mali, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Serbia, will also be in attendance, it said.
In addition to these distinguished guests, almost 40 Ministers, heads of international organisations, diplomats, captains of industry, and delegates from over 100 countries.
The Transform Africa Summit is Africa’s leading annual forum bringing together global and regional leaders from government, business and international organisations to collaborate on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s on-going digital revolution.
Following five successful editions in Rwanda, the sixth Summit will take place at the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Running under the theme “Connect, Innovate and Transform”, Transform Africa.
Summit aims to enable Member States to become more competitive, agile, open and innovative smart economies.
It is an opportunity for meaningful engagements on how governments can attract large-scale investments and enable fast growth and exports as well as for the private sector to thrive in an innovation and ICT-driven entrepreneurship ecosystem, hence transforming African nations into smart societies.
