APA – Kigali (Rwanda)- Rwandan President Paul Kagame held talks with his Guinean counterpart Gen. Mamady Doumbouya in Kigali on Friday.
The Rwandan President’s office said: “This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received President Mamady Doumbouya of Guinea for a tête-à-tête, which was followed by bilateral talks with their respective delegations”.
President of Guinea and First Lady Lauriane Doumbouya are in Rwanda for a three-day official Visit during which the two leaders hold tête-à-tête and bilateral meetings aimed at further strengthening the existing bilateral cooperation.
During President Kagame’s visit to Guinea in April last year, the two countries agreed to work together to address challenges they face and rely on each other’s attributes to advance socioeconomic development.
Mamadi Doumbouya and Paul Kagame then presided over the signing of a legal document focusing on two memoranda of understanding.
The first concerns the creation of the Great Joint Commission for Cooperation between Conakry and Kigali.
The second covers post and telecommunications, information technology and communications, the digitalisation of the state and digitalisation in general.
The two parties agreed to review the existing agreements between the two countries and to schedule the inaugural meeting as soon as possible.
