APA-Nairobi (Kenya) The Kenyan parliament on Thursday okayed a bill requesting the sending of a police contingent to help stem the tide of gang violence in Haiti, APA can confirm.
The approval by MPs comes despite a court ruling putting the sending of officers on hold as a petition was being heard about its legality or lack thereof.
Kenya had volunteered to help police Haiti after its Prime Minister Ariel Henry had asked for international help o tackle the orgy of gang violence which has gripped the black Caribbean nation in the past few months.
