Kenya’s regional low-cost carrier Jambojet on Tuesday announced its suspension of flights to Kigali, Rwanda and Entebbe in Uganda with immediate effect.
The airline attributed the suspension due to the global spread of the Covid-19 which has resulted in a decrease of airline passengers especially on the international routes.
“We would like to assure all the booked passengers that we shall make the necessary arrangements to accommodate them on alternative flights,” the airline said in a statement.
The number of coronavirus cases in Kenya has jumped to three after the government confirmed two more cases.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced a raft of proactive measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
Kenyatta on Sunday ordered the immediate closure of all public schools as well as suspended travel for all people coming into Kenya from any country with Covid-19.
