Held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, FICAK is one of the continent’s most prestigious film events, established in 1977, making it the third oldest in Africa.
This year’s festival features 13 films from 11 African countries competing for various awards. The diverse program includes works from Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Benin, Togo, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cameroon, Zambia, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Mali is the guest of honor at this year’s FICAK. Six Malian films will be screened, along with appearances by prominent figures from the Malian film industry.
The festival jury will be led by renowned Egyptian director Hala Khalil, alongside a distinguished panel of international members.
