APA -Kigali (Rwanda) President Paul Kagame on Thursday received his counterpart Faustin-Archange Touadéra of the Central African Republic who is on a working visit to Rwanda.
The two leaders held talks covering areas of ongoing bilateral cooperation including collaboration in addressing security challenges in the Central African Republic.
In December 2020, Rwanda deployed troops to the CAR, under an existing bilateral agreement on defense.
Since 2014 the Rwanda Defence Force has also been one of the largest troop contributors to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
