Libyan club Khaleej Sirte has formalised the arrival of Tunisian coach Chaker Mefteh at the head of its first team, the club announced on its Facebook page.
The new coach of Khaleej Sirte, Chaker Mefteh, aged 67, has managed several clubs in North Africa and the Middle East.
A specialist in Maghreb football, he is known for his tactical rigour and pragmatic approach to the game.
Mefteh has experience in the Libyan championship, having managed Olympique de Zawiya.
He has also coached in Saudi Arabia with An-Najma and Al-Kawkab, as well as in Jordan with That Ras SC.
In Tunisia, he has taken charge of several teams, including US Ben Guerdane, Olympique de Beja, AS Soliman, EGS Gafsa, AS Marsa and ES Metlaoui.
