Natural Resources official Trevor Shongwe said on Thursday that the dams that supply major cities are full to overflowing following the rains that have been falling consistently in the past three weeks.
These reservoirs are the Hawane Dam which supplies the capital city, Luphohlo Dam which is mainly used for generating electricity, Lubovane and Maguga dams.
Shongwe said although there was enough water, people were still cautioned to use it sparingly because it was not guaranteed that the weather condition would be stable for a longer time.
The country has not fully recovered from the effects of the El Nino drought which killed thousands of livestock and left over 200, 000 people hit by food shortage.
