The Global Coalition against Daesh will hold a meeting on May 11 in Marrakech, designed to strengthen the mobilization against this terrorist organization.
During this meeting, it will be discussed ways to strengthen the global mobilization to fight against this terrorist organization that continues to pose a great threat to the international community, especially since its leaders have made new plans to restructure their ranks, according to U.S. media.
The Daeshists are trying to regain ground by setting up secret cells in Africa, Southeast Asia and through a regional network of fighters in order to threaten the security of many countries.
More than 80 countries will participate in this forum which will meet under the chairmanship of the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and his American counterpart, Antony Blinken. Other heads of diplomacy will be present at this meeting as Jean-Yves Le Drian (France), Jose Manuel Albares (Spain) as well as representatives of Great Britain, Canada, Italy and other countries active in this global coalition.
The holding of this meeting in Marrakech demonstrates Morocco’s firm commitment to coordinate its actions with its partners in order to fully eliminate the threat of Daesh. The Kingdom, which is convinced that the nature of the transcontinental Daesh threat requires a comprehensive and united approach, has always redoubled its efforts in the fields of security and intelligence.
Morocco has thus supported its friends and allies by providing intelligence that has been decisive in averting bloodbaths in several countries and neutralizing the serious terrorist threats they faced.
Created in 2014, the International Coalition against Daesh aims to put an end to the terrorist project of this organization. Its objectives are to deploy military assets and fight against Daesh propaganda and terrorist financing and foreign fighters.
