The annual meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund scheduled to take place in Marrakech in October 2021 has been postponed to 2022, the Bretton wood institutuion said in a statement.
“The kingdom of Morocco, the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced today that the annual meeting of the World Bank Group and the IMF scheduled to take place in Marrakech in October 2021 will be postponed for 12 months until 2022, due to the COVIC-19 pandemic,” the IMF statement said.
The meeting, which brings together thousands of delegates from around the world, will be held in the U.S. federal capital where the two international financial institutions are headquartered.
These annual meetings are usually held for two consecutive years at the World Bank Group and IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C., and every three years in another member country.
