The continuous news channel will broadcast on Thursday, April 8, 2021, a special evening programme dedicated to the Hassani culture in the Moroccan heritage.
After the Jews, the Hassanis will be honoured on MEDI 1 TV. According to a press release copied to APA on Thursday, the “second part of the Tamaghrabit cultural project” is dedicated to this component of the Moroccan society.
Scheduled from 9 pm GMT+1 on the linear and digital channels of the Tangier-based channel, the special programme will be an opportunity for all participants to highlight the Hassan culture.
This show will allow, among other things, to “rediscover the Hassani heritage, its history, its roots and its oral heritage” according to the same source. In addition, it will offer an “understanding of its imprint in the daily life of the Saharawis as well as its influence in contemporary Moroccan culture by underlining the importance of transmitting and perpetuating the richness of this heritage among young people.
For a total immersion of all its viewers in the Hassani world, MEDI 1 TV plans to produce two programmes: “One in Arabic anchored by Imane Aghoutane and the other in French with Khadija Ihsane as the presenter.”
True to its commitments, MEDI 1 TV promised its audience a crisp menu with “reports, documentaries, testimonies and exchanges with prestigious guests.” In addition, there will be “a two-hour live set with historians, researchers, intellectuals, artists, cultural actors and international experts.”
“Far from clichés”, Tamaghrabit is an initiative that promotes “cultural diversity and the richness of Moroccan heritage” by emphasising the “spirit of tolerance” that brings this society together.
The programme: Thursday 8 April 2021
In Arabic at 9pm on the Maghreb and Arabic channels.
