More than 5O African Scientists on the continent and in diaspora will be meeting for the 6th African Scientific, Research and Innovation Council (ASRIC) in Morocco in November to discuss the advancement of technology in Africa.
The Managing Director, African Union Scientific, Technical and Research Commission (AU-STRC), Dr Ahmed Hamdy, said in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja that the scientists, who would be meeting for the ASRIC Congress would brainstorm on the theme “Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) for Development”.
He said that various papers would be presented by scientific experts on agricultural sciences, engineering sciences, health sciences, natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities.
According to the statement, there will be presentations of scientific papers, scientific discussions and keynote speeches from eminent scientists and researchers drawn from Africa and the diaspora.
It added that the conference will be adopting the hybrid format so that the scientists can participate online or onsite.
