APA – Rabat (Morocco) – On Friday 25 August, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) is holding a ceremony to celebrate the three million visitors to the International Exhibition and Museum of the Sirah, the Prophet and Islamic Civilization, currently being held at its headquarters in Rabat, since their opening in November 2022.
Held by ICESCO in partnership with the Muslim World League and the ‘Rabita Mohammadia des Oulemas du Maroc,’ the event will be attended by high-level officials, religious leaders, public figures, diplomats and journalists from several countries, in order to celebrate the success of this major scientific event, which is the crowning achievement of the strategic partnership between the three aforementioned institutions, says the organization in a press release.
The programme of the celebration will include speeches by the heads of ICESCO, ELEC and the Rabita, as well as those of the senior officials present, and will review the process of creating the Exhibition and Museum in Rabat and its various stages up to the completion in record time of this large number of visitors.
Also on the menu are religious songs performed by famous singers from different countries, poetry readings and the screening of documentaries on the exhibition and the museum. The proceedings of this ceremony will be broadcast live on ICESCO’s official pages and accounts on the various social networks, in its three working languages (Arabic, English and French).
This event is the first travelling exhibition on the Sirah of the Prophet and Islamic civilization outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
