The Moroccan Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced the kingdom’s second death from coronavirus (Covid-19).
The victim was identified as a 75-year old Moroccan citizen who was living in the city of Salé (7 km from Rabat), according to a statement from the ministry.
The ministry also reported that a new case of the virus was detected earlier on Tuesday.
The latest carrier is a Moroccan living in Casablanca who had returned from France, bringing the total number of cases to 38.
The ministry has taken the necessary measures to accompany the patients, according to the national and international health security standards.
The kingdom has taken a series of economic, social and religious measures to halt the spread of the epidemic on its territory.
