Moroccans will not perform the Eid al Adha prayer (feast of Abraham’s sacrifice) due to the crowds observed on this occasion and the difficulties of guaranteeing the conditions of social distancing.
The Moroccan Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, on Thursday, announced that the Eid al Adha prayer will take place neither in mosques nor in moussalas (large spaces), due to the crowds observed on this occasion and the difficulties of guaranteeing strict compliance with the restrictions imposed to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
