The Moroccan city of Tangier is hosting, from December 14 to 16 this year, the third forum of industrial zones and their role in attracting investments and developing exports.
Initiated by the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (OADIM), this event will take place in partnership with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Green and Digital Economy, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (CCIS-TTA), the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), the industrial zones of Tangier and the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), under the theme “The importance of industrial zones in national development in the light of global economic changes.”
Like its two previous editions, this third forum will not be limited only to the managers and representatives of industrial and free zones, but it will be attended by Moroccan and Arab experts, investors and businessmen.
The choice of Tangier to host this event is not accidental, as it has a long experience in the field of industrial zones, having allowed the establishment of large international groups in its industrial platforms.
This third forum “takes place in the context of global economic changes and the continuing repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, which have created unprecedented challenges,” OADIM said in a press release.
According to the director of OADIM Adel Sakr, quoted in the same statement, this forum aims to highlight the reality and prospects of industrial zones and their challenge in light of economic and international developments, as well as their role in the attractiveness of capital and the promotion of investment in industrial zones.
