The aerospace sector has emerged as a major driver of economic growth, with exports reaching $2.16 billion in the first ten months of 2024. This represents a 17.3% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. The assembly segment, in particular, experienced substantial growth, fueled by Morocco’s strategic location, skilled workforce, and favorable business environment.
The automotive industry remains Morocco’s leading export sector, generating $13.28 billion in revenue during the first ten months of 2024. Strong performances in vehicle interiors, wiring systems, and vehicle construction contributed to this growth.
The phosphates and derivatives sector also experienced significant growth, with exports reaching $6.87 billion. Fertilizers, phosphoric acid, and raw phosphates were the primary contributors to this sector’s performance.
Morocco’s robust economic growth can be attributed to its strategic focus on key sectors, including aerospace, automotive, and mining. By leveraging its competitive advantages and implementing sound economic policies, Morocco is positioning itself as a leading player in the global economy.
