According to a statement by the Mozambican presidency, Nyusi is using the visit strengthen bilateral relations between Mozambique and eSwatini.
It is expected to provide an opportunity for the two countries to “define strategies for strengthening political, economic and business relations.”
Besides meeting with King Mswati III, Nyusi is expected to also meet the Mozambican community living in the kingdom as well as to open the Mozambique-Eswatini Business Forum, according to the statement.
He is accompanied during the trip by senior government officials, including Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister José Pacheco and Transport and Communications Minister Carlos Mesquita.
