Friends, family and Rwandan officials gathered Monday to mourn and bury one of the prominent Rwandan businessman killed last week in Mozambique.
The victim was head of the Rwandan community in Mozambique Louis Baziga who was murdered by a group of unidentified gunmen, in Maputo last week, according to a diplomatic source in Kigali.
The Rwandan ambassador to Mozambique, Claude Nikobisanzwe confirmed the murder saying the victim was gunned down by about three people as he drove from his home to a garage to have his car fixed.

At least five suspects including a top Burundian diplomat in Maputo were arrested in connection with the murder, reports said.
This was not the first attempt at Baziga’s life, according to reports.
In 2016, Baziga told a local online news outlet that a group tried to bribe the Mozambican police to have him murdered before a close friend tipped him off about the plan.
That was in March and in September that year, three Rwandans were taken to Mozambican courts over the plot.
Reports say Baziga, who was a businessman in Mozambique, was blocked by two vehicles as he drove in the Maputo suburb, and those trailing him from pulled out guns and took pot shots at him.
