Namibia has been chosen as the co-host of the 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup together with neighbours South Africa and Zimbabwe, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Wednesday.
According to the ICC, the three southern African neighbours are set to jointly host the world’s top cricket playing nations between October and November 2027.
“In October/November 2027, Namibia will host the Men’s Cricket World Cup for the first time alongside Zimbabwe and South Africa,” the council said in a statement.
South Africa and Zimbabwe last staged the event in 2003.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is held every four years, with the 2023 event scheduled for India while the 2031 tournament would be jointly hosted by India and Bangladesh.
