The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has said that the runway of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos will be shut for eight weeks for maintenance.
FAAN said in a statement on Monday in Lagos that the closure would affect Runway 18R and 36L, which are specifically dedicated for international flights and that all international flights to Runway 18L and 36R would be diverted to the domestic wing of the Lagos airport.
It added that the Runway 18L is dedicated for local flights.
According to the statement, Taxiway B-18L will be used for all flight operations until maintenance is completed.
