The announcement of more cases of COVID-19 and the infection of the son of Nigeria’s former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar dominate the headlines of Nigerian newspapers on Monday.
This Day and many other newspapers reported that the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has tested positive for coronavirus.
Atiku on his twitter handle @atiku, who was also the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general election, said the National Centre for Disease Control had been duly informed.
The newspaper also reported that the Federal Capital Territory has recorded another case of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases recorded in Nigeria to 27 since the outbreak started in the country.
