The use of security operatives to truncate revolution protests across the states and the plan to use drones to check crimes are some of the leading stories in Nigerian press on Tuesday.
The Sun newspaper reported that security agencies made good their threat to foil the planned nationwide protest tagged: RevolutionNow, organised by Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria.
Reports from across the country said that there were heavy deployment of security operatives from all security outfits, including anti-riot and civil defence officers, the military, National Civil Security and Civil Defence Commission (NSCDC) and the Department of State Security (DSS).

Many newspapers reported that the Department of State Services on Monday night said it had received the court order granting the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky leave to travel to India for medical treatment.
Channels TV reported that the Department of the State Services (DSS) is in talks with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with the court order granted to the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife to travel abroad for medical treatment.

The Guardian said Democracy Vanguard of Nigerians in the Diaspora (DVND) on Monday took President Muhammadu Buhari to the international criminal court (ICC) over his alleged inaction to curtail herders’ killings in the country.
