“More than 300,000 jobs were created across the country from the planned 274,947 jobs in 2018, corresponding to 141 percent, and a growth of 24 percent from 2017,” Nyeleti said during a meeting to assess the degree of implementation of the country’s Youth Policy in 2018.
Mozambique is a country made up mostly of young people, which poses challenges in access to education, employment and other rights.
According to the official, unemployment remains a concern in Mozambique and over 30 percent the country’s 28 million population is unemployed.
