This exam marks the end of primary school education in Côte d’Ivoire. Minister Kone emphasized the return to a normal school year, allowing students to complete the full curriculum.
A record 627,908 students are taking the CEPE exam this year, with testing centers established across the country. Kone expressed confidence in improved results due to a smooth school year and a decline in cheating.
Students will receive a shortened summer break to ensure a strong start to the 2024-2025 academic year. Kone commended CM2 student Krecoum Loevan Niels Samuel-Marie for winning first place in the international PGL dictation competition.
The written exams began at 8:00 am local time. Results are expected to be announced on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 pm local time. This year’s exam participants consist of 311,352 girls and 316,556 boys.
