South African Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will announce the much-awaited 2021 National Senior Certificate Examination Results on Thursday, with over 700,000 students highly anticipating to see how well they performed in the nationwide matric examinations.
The Class of 2021 wrote the exams between 27 October and 6 December last year, the second time that high schools students had written under the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
There are 735,000 full-time candidates that sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations in 2021 who are awaiting the release of their results on Thursday.
Meanwhile, students from South Africa’s Independent Examinations Board schools’ Class of 2021 had their results announced on Wednesday, with a 98.3% pass rate in its final high school examinations nationwide.
