On Tuesday 13 August, the Palestinian Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude to the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, for his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause in the face of the violence perpetrated by the Israeli occupying forces.
At a meeting in Ramallah with Ismail Ramli, coordinator of programmes and projects at the Moroccan-run Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif agency, Mustafa praised the Moroccan monarch’s ongoing commitment. He emphasised the agency’s crucial role in supporting Palestinians, particularly in the fields of education, health and social services,
with a particular focus on initiatives for young people, women and children in Jerusalem.
Ashraf Al Awar, Minister of Al-Quds Affairs, who attended the meeting, also highlighted the challenges facing Palestine. According to the MAP press agency, Mustafa called for an intensification of Arab and international efforts to support the Palestinian people.
Mr Ramli informed the Prime Minister of the progress made by the humanitarian agency under the direct supervision of King Mohammed VI, who has chaired the Al-Quds committee for 25 years. Earlier this
month, the agency provided Gaza’s Al-Azhar University with a cloud-based infrastructure and learning management system, as well as a summer school programme that has benefited more than 4,000
Palestinian children.
