The President used his 62nd Independence Anniversary Speech in Tamale to give the commendation, reports the Daily Graphic on Thursday.
He commended Ghana’s security services for their professionalism, but singled out Mrs. Osei for her achievement.
Chief Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Osei of the Ghana Police Service, was selected for the award as her policing duties directly and positively impacted the community and the host state in Jubaland, Somalia in November 2018.
As a member of the UN Mission in Somalia, the UN praised her for being a good example to other police officers.
