The arraignment of the persons arrested in Lagos for looting at the South African-owned mall and the death of ex-President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, are the trending stories in Nigerian press on Friday.
The Punch said the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, September 5, arraigned 83 persons, who allegedly participated in the attack and looting of South African-owned mall, Shoprite, in protest against continued xenophobic attacks and killings of Nigerians in South Africa.
ChannelsTV also reported that President Muhammadu Buhari’s special envoy has arrived in Johannesburg, for a meeting with South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa.
The special representative of the President is the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ahmed Abubakar.
