South African President Cyril Ramaphosa met with his Botswana counterpart Duma Gideon Boko on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) currently taking place in Davos-Klosters, the South African presidency announced on Wednesday.
The two heads of state held a bilateral meeting at the Davos-Klosters Convention Centre, confirming the close ties between the two southern African neighbours.
The meeting is part of a series of diplomatic talks on the sidelines of the annual forum, which brings together political and business leaders from around the world, and comes amid heightened cooperation between South Africa and Botswana, particularly within the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
