A local public-private dialogue platform (PLDPP) will be set up in May in Ivory Coast’s northcentral city of Bouake.
The event will take place during a mission by the State-Private Sector Consultation Committee (CCESP) which will stay in Bouake on May 04-07.
According to a briefing statement shared with APA on Friday, the overall objective of the initiative is to promote public-private dialogue at the local level.
Local public-private dialogue platforms are being launched in the main regional hubs of the country, based on their economic potentialities and the existence of an ecosystem of dynamic economic players, the CCESP explained.
These communication channels will help sort out the issues on ways to contribute to the improvement of the business climate and local economic governance, ensure a better structuring of the local public-private dialogue and to build the capacities of the different players involved in public-private dialogue across the regional economic centers.
During this mission to Bouake, the statement said, the CCESP mission will meet the authorities of the city, local development actors and representatives of umbrella private sector organizations.
The economic locomotives of Bouake (center-north), Korhogo (far-north) and San-Pedro (south-west) were selected for the project to set up public-private consultation platforms.
