Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has reaffirmed its commitment to African cinema by renewing its partnership with the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) for three more editions.
RAM will continue to serve as the official carrier for the festival, including the 29th edition taking place from February 23 to March 2, 2025, in Ouagadougou.
The 2025 FESPACO will showcase 235 films selected from 1,351 submissions representing 48 countries. Since its inception in 1969, FESPACO has become the largest African cultural event dedicated to cinema and the African diaspora.
“This partnership contributes to the promotion of African culture and the growth of African cinema. It is part of the strengthening of South-South cooperation, in accordance with the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI,” stated Hamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
This renewed partnership, which began in 2014, further enhances the visibility of this major pan-African event. It aligns with RAM’s broader strategy of supporting prominent African cultural events, including the Marrakech International Film Festival, the Bamako Meetings, the MASA in Abidjan, and the Cameroon Black Screen Festival.
Royal Air Maroc, through its Casablanca hub, continues to play a vital role in connecting Africa with the rest of the world, solidifying its position as a leading African air carrier.
