Rwanda have been drawn in Group C of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) that will be held in Cameroon from 4-25 April 2020, APA can report Tuesday.
CHAN is a competition reserved for players who are actively featuring in their domestic national competitions in Africa.
The tournament will be hosted in the cities of Yaounde, Douala and Limbe where Rwanda along with neighbours Uganda as well as holders Morocco and debutant Togo will be based.
As part of preparations for the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals, Rwanda will play two friendlies against Cameroon on 24th February 2020 in Yaoundé and Congo Brazzaville on 28th February 2020 in Kigali respectively.
Ahead of the tournament, Rwanda’s head Coach Vincent Mashami has released a provisional list of 28 players who will start preparations for the two international friendlies.
Rwanda will play the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Yaoundé on 24 February before hosting the Red Devils of Congo Republic on 28 February in Kigali at Amahoro National Stadium.
Following is the provisional list of the players:
Goalkeepers: Kimenyi Yves (Rayon Sports), Ndayishimiye Eric (AS Kigali), Gahungu Habarurema (Police FC) and Kwizera Olivier (Gasogi United).
Defenders: Manzi Thierry (APR FC), Mutsinzi Ange (APR FC), Rugwiro Hervé (Rayon Sports), Nsabimana Aimable (Police FC), Fitina Omborenga (APR FC), Imanishimwe Emmanuel (APR FC), Rutanga Eric (Rayon Sports) and Iradukunda Eric (Rayon Sports).
Midfielders: Niyonzima Olivier (APR FC), Bukuru Christophe (APR FC), Ngendahimana Eric (Police FC), Nshimiyimana Amran (Rayon Sports), Twizeyimana Martin Fabrice (Kiyovu Sports), Nsabimana Eric (AS Kigali), Manishimwe Djabel (APR FC), Niyonzima Ally (Rayon Sports) and Nshuti Dominique Savio (Police FC).
