Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Sunday met with Patrick Pouyanne, the new CEO of French energy company Total where the two parties signed an investment deal.
A statement issued by the President Office in Kigali said the two parties also witnessed the signing of an MoI to develop collaboration in various sectors.
Total Energies is a broad energy company that produces and markets energies on a global scale: oil and biofuels, natural gas and green gases, renewables and electricity.
Mr. Pouyanné who met with members of the Rwandan business community earlier, emphasized Total Energies commitment to fast tracking the implementation of the various areas of collaboration discussed including in the energy sector and education among others.
