Some 800, 000 Rwandans were killed during a 100-day massacre of Tutsis and moderate Hutus in Rwanda in 1994.
As Rwanda prepares to mark the 30 year anniversary of the genocide, several global leaders have been invited to the commemoration which takes place on Sunday.
Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, the Seychellian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, will represent President Wavel Ramkalawan in Kigali.
The national commemoration ceremony scheduled to take place on Sunday 7th April 2024, will commence with a wreath laying ceremony at the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
The Rwandan genocide, also known as the genocide against the Tutsi, occurred during 100 days, between 7 April to 15 July 1994 when over 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed.
Officials in India are also some of the invitees.
