Rwanda has partially opened its border with neighbouring Uganda after closing it for more than three months.
The authorities in Kigali said on Monday that opening the busiest border crossing point at Gatuna would be temporary.
Rwanda said it was allowing lorries laden with goods to use that particular crossing for the first time since February when a diplomatic row between Kigali and Kampala.
Businesses that rely on crossing the border have been adversely affected by the protracted closure.
Trucks lines have stretched for more than two kilometers since the border standoff as Uganda disputed claims by Rwanda that it was renovating its customs and excise infrastructure in the area.
Kampala accused Kigali of espionage and economic sabotage, claims Rwanda strenuously denies. Kigali in turn said citizens living in Uganda were tortured and advised other Rwandans not to visit the country.
